TRAINING SPECIALISTS IN THE FIELD OF CUSTOMS AFFAIRS IN STATE UNIVERSITY OF TRADE AND ECONOMICS

Анотація

Today, it is important to provide customs authorities with qualified specialists capable to perform modern tasks in the field of customs affairs at a high level in accordance with world and European standards. This task is successfully carried out by the State University of Trade and Economics (SUTE) as one of the leaders in the training of high-quality personnel for customs authorities of Ukraine and companies involved in the international trade chain. The purpose of the article is to highlight the peculiarities of the training specialists in the field of customs affairs in SUTE. The research methodology is based on the application of general scientific methods: system approach, theoretical generalization and comparison, analysis and synthesis. The results. The peculiarities of the training specialists in customs affairs at the SUTE at the bachelor's and master's levels are considered, which involves taking into account the practical needs of customs authorities and departments of the State Customs Service of Ukraine, international experience and European approaches. The educational program “Customs Affairs” provides to 260Anatolii Mazaraki, Nina Merezhko, Taras Karavayevobtain by students of such important professional competences as the ability to carry out customs control and customs clearance of goods, to ensure compliance with the measures of tariff and non-tariff regulation of foreign economic activity, to provide control over the calculation of customs payments, to carry out expert examination of goods for customs purposes and in international trade, manage customs risks, take measures to combat smuggling, prevent customs violations, carry out customs brokerage activity. The competitive advantage of training specialists in the field of customs affairs is a systematic approach to the organization of the educational process and constant improvement of the educational content in order to take into account the practical needs of the State Customs Service, international standards and relevant EU norms. This approach is ensured by the systematic selection of educational components that allow to comprehensively form the necessary knowledge and special competences of future specialists, which ensures their ability to perform the tasks assigned to the State Customs Service of Ukraine. The educational process is carried out in modern laboratories and classrooms with appropriate technical equipment. The training of highly qualified specialists is ensured by the material and technical base of the European level for study, living and personal development. The unique SUTE library is a valuable source of knowledge for students. Conclusions. Graduates of the educational program “Customs Affairs” at SUTE are professionals who are able to use the acquired knowledge and skills to solve tasks and make decisions in the field of entrepreneurship, trade and customs affairs. They successfully work in the State Customs Service of Ukraine, in other state institutions, customs brokerage firms, and private companies engaged in foreign economic and international trade and logistics activities.
