Assessment of Transformational Processesin Regional Development

In the current conditions of socio-economic instability of the development of economic systems at all levels, global challenges, growinginterregionaldisparitiesandintensificationoftheprocessesof restoration of territories that have undergone significant transformationalimpactsduetovariousreasons,thereisaneedforindepthanalysisandassessmentoftransformationalprocessesofregional development.This andother factorsdetermine theneed todevelop methodologytoassessingtransformationalprocessesthatallowtaking intoaccountthespecificsofeachregion,itsresourcepotential,levelof vulnerabilityandadaptivecapabilities.Thepurposeof thestudyisto substantiatethemethodologicalapproachtoassessingtransformational processesof regional development,which involvesdetermining the transformational impact on thedevelopment of regions through the complextransformationvalueaccordingtoitsstructureusingavalue thatisnumericallyequaltotheareaofthefigureandpartialcorrection coefficientsoftransformationofregionaldevelopment.Tothisapproach toassessingtransformationalchanges inthedevelopmentof regions, regionsofUkrainewereselectedinwhichtransformational changes werecausedbylosses,lossesanddamage.Thepracticalsignificanceis that inadditiontodeterminingtransformationalchangesaccordingto theirstructureandtotal transformationalchanges, themethodological approachcanbeusedasabasisfordevelopingdirectionsforstrategies fortherestorationanddevelopmentofregions,bothatthelocalandstate levels.Theresultsof thecalculationscanalsobeusedtoforecast the developmentofregions,takingintoaccounttransformationalchanges.
