Анотація
The article substantiates the need to use a qualitatively new approach to the management of potential socio-economic system of regions to achieve sustainable development. The structure of the economic levels of the region. Analyzed opinions of various scholars concerning the approach to the interpretation of the concepts «potential» and offered his own definition. Characterized the structure of the socio-economic potential of the region as a socio-economic system, which brings together the local potentials, which are intended to promote the implementation of the basic resource potentials. They include the employment, logistical, scientific innovation, social infrastructure, budgetary, investment, export and import potentials. Characterized a number of problems that become an obstacle to the formation and development of an effective mechanism for management of potential socio-economic system. To solve these problems formulated in the governance potential of the region as a socio-economic system and the basic aspects of the formation mechanism of the potential of the region as a socio-economic system.
