The article examines the economic benefits of national rehabilitation programs through a cost-benefit analysis of government investments in social initiatives.The study aims to assess the impact of social programs on poverty levels in the United States by evaluating funding in key sectors such as healthcare, education, and housing support.The research employed general scientific methods of cognition: analysis, synthesis, generalization, statistical methods, comparison, and a systematic approach.The findings indicate that social programs in the US constitute a significant share of government expenditures, reflecting federal budget priorities.In 2024, 20% of the budget was allocated to social security, including housing support programs, while healthcare received 16%.Education expenditures accounted for 12% of the total budget, highlighting the importance of supporting vulnerable populations and addressing basic social needs.Investments in mental health programs reached 2.8% of the federal budget, while housing support received over 1%.Key social programs in the US focus on three major areas: housing support, healthcare, and education.Housing initiatives include tenant-based rental assistance, project-based rental aid, and public housing programs.Healthcare covers psychosocial rehabilitation, youth mental health support, and suicide prevention programs.In education, federal grants such as the Pell Grant, TEACH Grant, and student loans for low-income individuals are operational.The economic benefits of rehabilitation programs are multifaceted.Investments in housing support reduce emergency service and healthcare costs by improving living conditions.Mental health programs decrease expenditures on treatment and legal proceedings.Educational funding enhances workforce qualifications, boosting productivity and lowering unemployment.As a result, the US poverty rate dropped by 0.4% to 11.1% in 2023, underscoring the effectiveness of national social policies.The practical value of the study lies in its potential application for improving social policy efficiency and economic planning.
