CORPORATE MANAGEMENT OF THE STRATEGIC POTENTIAL OF A MACHINE-BUILDING ENTERPRISE

Анотація

The article examines the theoretical and applied aspects of corporate governance of the strategic potential of a machine-building enterprise under wartime conditions. It is substantiated that for machine-building enterprises, which are characterized by high capital intensity, technological complexity, a long production cycle, and dependence on cooperative ties, corporate governance should be viewed not only as a system of authority distribution, control, and accountability, but also as a mechanism for ensuring strategic resilience, adaptability, continuity of operations, and the formation of prerequisites for post-war recovery. In the course of the study, scientific approaches to the interpretation of the strategic potential of an enterprise were generalized, and it was established that in the economic literature it is mainly considered through a set of resources, competencies, capabilities, competitive advantages, and development capacities. At the same time, it was found that both domestic and foreign studies insufficiently disclose the issue of the influence of corporate governance on the formation, preservation, transformation, and realization of the strategic potential of a machine-building enterprise specifically under wartime conditions. On this basis, the author’s interpretation of the strategic potential of a machine-building enterprise is proposed as an integrated system of resources, key competencies, organizational capabilities, technological capacities, and competitive advantages that is formed, maintained, and realized under the influence of corporate governance in order to ensure long-term resilience, strategic adaptation, innovative development, and the achievement of enterprise goals under conditions of high uncertainty. The article identifies the main mechanisms through which corporate governance influences the strategic potential of a machine-building enterprise, including ensuring the quality of strategic choice, mobilization and redistribution of resources, maintaining organizational coherence, preserving human capital, stimulating innovative renewal, integrating the security component into managerial decision-making, and focusing on post-war recovery. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the development of a block-based scientific and methodological approach to evaluating corporate governance of the strategic potential of a machine-building enterprise, which includes institutional, resource, adaptive, innovation, security, and recovery blocks. The practical significance of the obtained results lies in the possibility of using the proposed approach to diagnose the strengths and problem areas of corporate governance, substantiate managerial decisions aimed at strengthening the strategic viability of the enterprise, and shape its long-term competitive positions under wartime and post-war transformations.
