To the history of the Rusins in the interwar Yugoslavia
Анотація
The article discusses the book At the Crossroads: The Rusins in Yugoslavia in 1918–1941 written in the Rusin language by Professor Janko Ramach, Serbian historian, Head of the Department of the Rusin Studies at the University of Novi Sad. The book studies the history, culture, and religion of the Rusin community in Yugoslavia between the First and Second World Wars. The work raises the problem of the national and religious orientation of Rusin public organizations, analyses the main activities of the pro‑Ukrainian Rusin people and educational association, and pro-Russian Cultural and Educational Union of Yugoslav Rusins, which was later renamed into the Cultural and National Union of Yugoslav Rusins. The book consists of 19 essays, linked together chronologically and thematically.
