STRATEGIES FOR MANAGING ENTERPRISES IN TIMES OF ECONOMIC TURBULENCE

Анотація

The article provides a comprehensive analysis of contemporary theoretical and practical approaches to the development, design, and implementation of enterprise management strategies under conditions of economic turbulence. It emphasizes that increasing global uncertainty, financial and currency market volatility, geopolitical shocks, structural changes in the global economy, and macroeconomic instability significantly complicate strategic management processes and necessitate the modernization of traditional managerial paradigms. The study substantiates the relevance of adaptive strategic models that combine managerial flexibility, proactive risk management, digital transformation of business processes, scenario-based forecasting, and business continuity planning. Special attention is given to tools of strategic foresight and risk assessment, which enable enterprises to effectively respond to unforeseen economic shocks and fluctuations in the external environment. The main barriers to effective strategic management are identified, including limited financial and investment resources, insufficient analytical and digital support, low strategic culture among management teams, and inadequate integration of modern managerial technologies into business processes. The article proposes a conceptual framework for resilience-oriented strategy development, which integrates early warning systems, digital analytics, adaptive controlling mechanisms, and knowledge- and innovationbased management practices. It highlights the role of crisis planning and change management as key components of enterprise strategy, ensuring not only survival in turbulent economic conditions but also the transformation of challenges into competitive advantages and added value. The research confirms that a systematic and integrated approach to strategic management enhances enterprise adaptability, long-term stability, and competitiveness in both domestic and international markets. Priority directions for further studies are identified, including the improvement of digital risk forecasting models, the development of flexible organizational structures, and the enhancement of managerial team competencies in strategic management under conditions of economic uncertainty.
