Strategic Priorities for the Development of Institutional Support for the Technological Competitiveness of the Ukrainian Economy

Анотація

The article substantiates the strategic priorities for the development of institutional support for the technological competitiveness of Ukraine’s economy. The generalization of theoretical-methodological and methodological-applied approaches to managing the technological competitiveness of the national economy made it possible to determine that the efficiency of State policy in this area largely depends on the clear identification of strategic guidelines that ensure the coherence and effectivity of institutional, organizational, and economic mechanisms of State influence. It is emphasized that under the conditions of full-scale war, limited resources, and the need for accelerated technological modernization of the economy, particular importance is attached to the systemic strategic focusing of public policy on creating a favorable institutional environment for innovation and technological development. The study identifies key strategic priorities for the development of institutional support for the technological competitiveness of Ukraine’s economy, including the formation of an efficient system of State strategic management of technological development; the development of institutions supporting innovation and technology commercialization; stimulation of investments in research and development as well as technological modernization of production; institutional support for the development of dual-use technologies and defense-related technological innovations; development of human capital and the country’s scientific and technological potential; and deepening Ukraine’s integration into the European and global innovation and technological space. It is proved that the implementation of these priorities will contribute to the formation of a comprehensive institutional system for supporting technological development, intensification of innovation activity, acceleration of technological modernization of the national economy, and strengthening of Ukraine’s competitive position in the global economic environment.
