DIGITAL TWINS AND MANAGEMENT: GLOBAL AND UKRANIAN EXPERIENCE

Анотація

The article examines the experience of the emergence and development of digital twin technologies in the countries of the European Union and in Ukraine in the context of the digital transformation of the economy and management. It is shown that digital twins form the foundation of modern management systems, integrating tools for real-time data collection, processing, and analysis to enhance the efficiency of organizational processes. Their use contributes to increasing the accuracy of management decisions, optimizing business processes and ensuring the sustainability of enterprises in a minimal environment. The technological, economic, institutional and social factors that led to the active implementation of digital networks in the EU are analyzed, in particular within the framework of the strategic initiatives Digital Decade, Industry 4.0/5.0 and Green Deal. Special attention is paid to the current state and features of its development in Ukraine, where digital twins are considered as a tool for increasing management efficiency, planning infrastructure reconstruction and integration into the European digital space. It is noted that Ukrainian practice is transitioning to implementation at the stage of formation, but demonstrates positive dynamics due to projects in industry, energy, logistics and urban management. The emergence of the first national initiatives and pilot digital platforms creates the basis for the formation of a Ukrainian school of management based on digital twins. A comparative analysis of the level of implementation, scope and availability of official statistics in the EU and Ukraine was conducted. A significant difference in the scale and systematicity of digitalization processes was identified, which is explained by the difference in the level of digital maturity, financing and regulatory support. It is noted that for the successful development of digital twins in Ukraine, it is necessary to combine state support, institutional environment and international partnership. The conclusion is made about the high potential of using digital twins in Ukraine under the conditions of further development of digital infrastructure, regulatory framework and international cooperation. Digital twins are poised to become a key element in forming a new management culture centered on data, analytics, and predictive planning, as well as a vital factor in Ukraine’s integration into the European digital space. It is emphasized that aligning the national digital strategy with European initiatives creates the prerequisites for accelerating the digital transformation of management processes and increasing the competitiveness of Ukrainian enterprises.
