The article, dedicated to the anniversary of the Lviv archaeologist, a specialist in the problematic of stone knapping of the Eneolithic–Bronze Age cultures of Western Ukraine, Vitalii Konoplia, briefly presents the biography of the scientist, outlines the scope of his scientific interests, and considers various areas of his scientific and educational activities, including field research, inter-institutional and international cooperation, scientific popularization, and museum work.
