ESSENCE AND TYPOLOGY OF MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS FOR INTEGRATION PROCESSES OF AGRI-FOOD PRODUCERS
Анотація
The article provides a comprehensive study of the transformation of management systems for integration processes in Ukraine's agri-food sector amid global instability and full-scale military aggression. The study substantiates that the modern stage of agricultural development is characterized by an existential shift from extensive "land-centric" models, focused on land bank expansion, to intensive value-added chains. Within this context, the author reveals the essence of integration management as a complex architecture of interconnections among production, finance, and information systems, aimed at minimizing transaction costs and ensuring business resilience. The research methodology is based on institutional theory and the synthesis of domestic and global approaches to agribusiness management. A multi-level typology of management systems is developed, categorized by the vector of development (vertical, horizontal, conglomerate), governance rigidity (hard and soft), and the degree of decision-making centralization. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the 2024–2025 period, characterized by the trend of "de-latifundization" — a strategic reduction of land assets by major agro-holdings (such as UkrLandFarming and Kernel) in favor of logistical autonomy and deep processing. Statistical analysis confirms that vertically integrated structures with closed cycles (MHP, Astarta) demonstrate the highest adaptability to wartime shocks. Simultaneously, the study identifies a crisis in traditional cooperative movements but high growth potential in niche "soft" clusters (berry and AgTech sectors). The author highlights "island automation" as a key barrier to effective management and proposes implementing integrated Smart Information Systems (SIS) to harmonize operational data. The study concludes that the future competitiveness of Ukrainian agribusiness depends on transitioning to flexible, technology-driven, integrated models capable of rapid strategic adaptation to global market requirements and the European Green Deal.
