PSYCHOLOGICAL FACTORS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN INDIVIDUAL’S ENTREPRENEURIAL COMPETENCE IN THE EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT
Анотація
The article provides a comprehensive theoretical analysis of the psychological factors influencing the development of entrepreneurial competence in the context of the modern educational environment. Entrepreneurial competence is defined as a complex and integrative construct that encompasses cognitive, motivational, emotional-volitional, and behavioral characteristics aimed at initiating and implementing entrepreneurial activity under conditions of uncertainty. The relevance of the study is substantiated by the growing need to foster in young people the abilities of self-realization, responsibility, flexibility, and self-reliance—qualities essential for successful socialization in today’s labor market. Based on the analysis of scholarly literature, key psychological factors contributing to the development of entrepreneurial competence are identified: achievement motivation, self-motivation, entrepreneurial self-efficacy, cognitive flexibility, decision-making skills, risk assessment, and the ability to cope with uncertainty. The importance of cultivating innovative thinking, creativity, reflexivity, strategic vision, and intrinsic motivation is emphasized. Entrepreneurial competence is presented as a system of interrelated attributes developed in the educational process through intentional pedagogical influence, personal engagement, and social experience. Particular attention is given to the role of the educational environment as a socializing space that facilitates the formation of value orientations, behavioral models, and entrepreneurial potential, thereby reinforcing the individual’s subjective position. The article outlines mechanisms for integrating psychological support, educational technologies, and collaborative experience to foster entrepreneurial thinking and behavior effectively. A holistic interdisciplinary approach is advocated for, one that integrates psychological, social, and pedagogical strategies in the development of entrepreneurial competence. Thus, entrepreneurial competence is not merely an economic category, but a psychosocial characteristic of the individual that supports active self-realization in professional, educational, and societal contexts.
