The article provides a comprehensive diagnosis of the transformation of the competitive environment and the dynamics of innovation activity among Ukrainian agricultural enterprises amid the global and regional challenges of 2024–2025. The study examines the transition from exploiting natural-resource advantages to the formation of systemic “resilience” through the implementation of the “new quality productive forces” concept and the digital intellectualization of production. The research aims to analyze structural changes in the competitive agribusiness landscape as of October 2025, assess the technological gap between domestic and European producers, and substantiate the role of innovation as a fundamental factor in ensuring the sector’s strategic viability under martial law and amid European integration. The theoretical and methodological framework is based on Porter’s Five Forces model, the Oslo Manual standards (OECD), and the concept of dynamic capabilities. A comparative analysis (benchmarking) of performance indicators between Ukraine and EU countries is conducted, alongside a systemic evaluation of the impact of digital ecosystems (AI, IoT, Big Data) on enterprise operational efficiency. It is proven that intra-industry competition in 2025 has shifted toward the struggle for liquidity and access to logistical infrastructure. A critical yield gap of over 40% between Ukraine and leading EU countries was identified, attributed to a deficit in investment in innovation rather than natural conditions. The study establishes that the adaptive innovativeness of Ukrainian farmers has manifested in changes to crop patterns as a direct response to resource and export constraints. The study concludes that the future competitiveness of the agricultural sector depends on the ability to ensure synergy between innovative resources and the requirements of the European Green Deal. It is recommended to shift the focus of state support toward developing the Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System (AKIS) and stimulating deep processing of raw materials. This will allow Ukraine to transition from a commodity-based model to that of a supplier of high-value, high-tech food products. Keywords: agricultural sector, competitive environment, Porter’s Five Forces, innovation activity, new quality productive forces, resilience, European integration, artificial intelligence, crop yield, digital transformation.
