Community-Oriented Enterprise: Classification Characteristics
Анотація
The article explores the principles of defining and implementing a community-based enterprise (CBE) as a business model within territorial communities. Ukrainian and international studies of social and community-based entrepreneurship are analyzed, challenges, in particular regarding IDPs, and limitations of traditional municipal and social enterprises are outlined. A new category is proposed – CBE, which combines a profitable model with responsibility for the social needs of the community, voluntary social responsibility, participation in community development, and cooperation with local authorities. A classification of enterprises by their ability to contribute to well-being and sustainable development is presented, recommendations for CBE certification, and a conclusion on their role in the growth, cohesion, and resilience of communities is drawn.
