DNIPROPETROVSK REGION – INDUSTRIAL CENTER OF UKRAINE: PROBLEMS AND DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY DURING THE WAR

Анотація

The analysis of dynamics, trends and problems of development of the processing industry of the Dnipropetrovsk region under martial law is carried out. The analysis showed that the Dnipropetrovsk region was and remains the most powerful industrial region of Ukraine. Despite significant losses as a result of hostilities, the region's industry is recovering and increasing its activities. However, at the same time, there is a predominant tendency to reduce the share of high-tech industry sectors in the overall structure of the regional economy. Now it is important to develop an active industrial policy of the region aimed at innovative transformation of the economy and increasing its technological level to ensure the resilience of the region in the face of military threats. The analysis of the content of the Development Strategy of the Dnipropetrovsk region for the period up to 2027 and its updated version shows that there is a shift in regional economic policy towards more active support for high-tech industries. At present, it is important to develop a reasonable, balanced and detailed package of measures for the implementation of certain tasks of technological modernization of the industrial complex of the region and to ensure their real implementation at industrial enterprises of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
