INVESTMENTS IN DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION: PRIORITIES FOR BUSINESS ECOSYSTEMS

Анотація

The article examines the conceptual foundations of digital transformation as a fundamental factor in the reconfiguration of business models within the BANI paradigm. It is substantiated that under conditions of market nonlinearity and incomprehensibility, digitalization becomes a critical determinant of business ecosystem resilience. The purpose of the study is to provide a theoretical justification for strategic investment priorities in digital transformation as a prerequisite for organizational viability in a turbulent environment. The author systematizes the key investment vectors, among which the development of digital infrastructure based on cloud services is identified as a foundational priority. Emphasis is placed on the strategic role of cloud platforms in capital-intensive projects, as they ensure flexibility and scalability of resources. A logical extension of this process is identified as the integration of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technologies. Within the framework of the study, a comparative analysis of asset maintenance strategies – reactive, preventive, and predictive – is conducted. The economic feasibility of implementing predictive maintenance based on IIoT tools is demonstrated. Unlike traditional approaches, this strategy enables the identification of latent signs of asset degradation, mitigation of the risks of unplanned downtime, and optimization of the structure of operating costs. It is determined that, beyond operational efficiency, the implementation of IoT and IIoT plays a critical role in the adoption and realization of corporate ESG standards, which constitute an integral part of the contemporary investment paradigm.
