The article aims to identify key development trends in the household deposit market in Ukraine under conditions of war and digital economic transformation. The study applies statistical methods of structural and structural shift analysis, time series analysis, and comparative analysis to assess changes in the volume, currency composition, maturity structure, and real growth of deposits adjusted for infl ation. The empirical findings demonstrate sustained nominal growth of household deposits despite wartime shocks, macroeconomic instability, and heightened uncertainty. The expansion of hryvnia-denominated deposits indicates a gradual recovery of public confidence in the banking system and refl ects the eff ectiveness of monetary and regulatory measures implemented by the National Bank of Ukraine to maintain financial stability. However, infl ation-adjusted indicators and sociological survey evidence suggest that real growth remains moderate, and precautionary motives and a liquidity preference characterize depositor behavior. The study also reveals structural shifts in the institutional environment of the deposit market driven by digitalization, the entry of fintech companies and non-bank financial intermediaries, and ongoing regulatory changes. These factors intensify competition and reshape the traditional model of financial intermediation. The results contribute to understanding the transformation of household savings behavior in wartime and a digitally evolving economy. Keywords: deposit, banking system, financial system, household deposit market, war in Ukraine, infl ation, digital transformation, statistical analysis.
