РОЗВИТОК У СУЧАСНІЙ СОЦІАЛЬНІЙ РОБОТІ ПІДХОДІВ, ОРІЄНТОВАНИХ НА СИЛЬНІ СТОРОНИ КЛІЄНТІВ

Анотація

In the 1990s, the strengths-based approach has become widespread in the practice of social work. This papper, based on an analysis of literature and reflection on one's own experience, provides an overview of key elements of a strengths-based approach. It is determined that the basis of the strengths approach is the humanistic philosophy, ecosystem theories and the concept of empowerment, and that this approach is based on the fundamental assumption of the partnership nature of social workers' relationships with clients. Rather than focusing on clients’ problems and deficits, it is noted that the strengths perspective focuses on people capabilities, talents and resources, helping clients in achieving their own goals. The components and varieties of interventions are characterized based on a client-centered approach (strengths-based case management, solution-focused therapy; narrative interventions; supported employment; community asset development model; community sustainable development model, etc.). The experience of implementation of the intervention developed in the framework of the project "Improvement of HIV services for representatives of the highest risk groups in Ukraine" is analyzed. The purpose of the intervention, its elements (individual support, group work according to the method "90 days", the work of multidisciplinary team, etc.) and its tools (goals achievement cards, appointment of a partner, affirmations, homework) are determined. The advantages and limitations of the developed intervention and the approach focused on the strengths of the clients as a whole are identified.
