ANALYSIS OF CORPORATE GOVERNANCE PRACTICES IN THE INSURANCE INDUSTRY OF UKRAINE
Анотація
<p>The article investigates the practice of management in the insurance companies of Ukraine, established as joint stock companies. The attention has been focused to important role of the corporate governance in achieving sustainable growth of insurer under the conditions of constant changes.</p><p>Based on the analysis of official reporting of insurance companies, which have been promulgated in the system of the Stock market infrastructure development agency of Ukraine, the authors have summarized the organizational bases of inspection of financial-economic activities of companies, functioning of the Supervisory Board as a body for protection of rights of stockholders, and the issues of distributions of decision-making authority (determining strategy and approval of business plans and budget).</p>The prospects for attracting investment, including foreign, by domestic insurers via issuing securities and obtaining bank loans have not been left without attention
