summary. Practical aspects of formation and development of regional information management based on the potential of enterprises and regions are investigated. It is proved that for the managers of different levels in our country, a sufficient amount of information is needed on the assessment of labor markets, real estate, finance, information products and services, economic situation, such as demand for products of industrial and economic purpose, investment processes, construction of industrial and social enterprises of products, manufactured industrial products, sales volumes in the region and beyond, infrastructure support, data on conditions for the development of information infrastructure, etc. Particular attention is needed to the latest databases and knowledge bases that will meet the modern requirements and develop information resources in formats -cloud technologies, neural networks, integrated databases. The effectiveness of the regional policy of socio-economic development of the region, and in particular the activity of enterprises, depends on the timeliness, reliability, completeness and objectivity of the information that is received, the promptness of its processing and generation in the decision-making management system. These processes are a system of information support for the management mechanism with modern development priorities, methods, principles of management, which are based on the results of scientific and technical, information development, methods and methods of accumulation and processing of information. That is, it is necessary to create an information management system that would ensure the process of managing quality and timely information when making management decisions.
