Small business sector in Ukrainian transition economy: achievements to date
Анотація
Abstract This paper presents an overview of die small business sector in Ukraine, examining the profile, the level of development and some common challenges to entrepreneurs. In comparison with other transition economies achievements to date are rather poor and the small business sector does not fulfil the tasks that it should in the regeneration of a depressed economy as well as in the social sphere. The difference in the degree of small business development in different regions of the country gives rise to the idea that emphasis on small business support at the local level would significandy improve the situation.
