Organizational and economic mechanism of innovation support for inclusive regional development under wartime challenges

Анотація

In the context of wartime challenges and structural transformations of Ukraine’s economy, the issue of innovation support for regional socio-economic development becomes particularly relevant. Strengthening the role of innovation is an important prerequisite for increasing the resilience of regional economic systems and ensuring their recovery. The aim of the study is to provide a theoretical justification for the organizational and economic mechanisms supporting innovation for the inclusive socio-economic development of the region under wartime conditions. The research is based on a systemic approach to the analysis of regional innovation development and on the formation of mechanisms to support it. A set of general scientific and specialized methods of economic research was applied, which enabled the generalization of theoretical approaches to regional innovation development and the identification of the main factors influencing the formation of regional innovation environments. The main hypothesis of the study is that innovation support is a key factor in increasing the resilience of regional economic systems and creating conditions for inclusive territorial development. The research used methods of scientific generalization, system analysis, logical and structural-functional analysis, comparative analysis, and modeling. The application of these methods made it possible to identify the relationships among the main elements of regional innovation development and to formulate a conceptual model of the organizational and economic mechanisms supporting innovation. As a result of the study, theoretical approaches to regional innovation development were systematized, and the main factors shaping regional innovation environments were identified. The conceptual foundations of the organizational and economic mechanisms supporting innovation for inclusive regional development were formulated. The key components of the mechanism were identified, including scientific and educational, technological, entrepreneurial, infrastructural, and financial-investment components. The role of network cooperation among innovation actors in the development of regional innovation environments was determined. The feasibility of applying innovation-oriented approaches to regional development policy under wartime conditions was substantiated. The theoretical significance of the research lies in developing scientific approaches to the formation of organizational and economic mechanisms that support innovation in regional development. The practical significance of the research lies in its potential to inform the development of regional innovation strategies and economic recovery programs. The originality of the study lies in substantiating a conceptual model of the organizational and economic mechanisms that support innovation for the region’s inclusive socio-economic development under wartime conditions. Future research should focus on developing methodological approaches to assessing the effectiveness of the proposed mechanism and evaluating the innovation potential of Ukrainian regions.
